Remember the Value of Packaging, Conference Speaker Advises

Packaging is tremendously important to the success of a private label brand today, Maurice Markey, vice president, private brands, Sam’s Club, told attendees Monday at the Private Brand Movement Conference in Chicago.

 

“Packaging is the only thing that I know that a consumer sees if they purchase my product. I don’t know that they’ve seen the $20 million that I spent in advertising, but if they purchase my product than they’ve seen the package and they’re going to interact with that package every time they use that product until it’s depleted,” he said.
