  • Mississauga, Ontario-based Walmart Canada said it will roll back prices on more than 10,000 items this month in an effort to help customers in Western Canada save money. The price reductions will occur across departments, including food, apparel, health and beauty, home and electronics.

  • Payless ShoeSource Inc., a unit of Topeka, Kan.-based Collective Brands Inc., said it will introduce a line of private label beauty and body care products this fall. Produced in conjunction with Maesa Group, a French manufacturer, the multi-SKU collection will be marketed under two exclusive brands: Zoe & Zac and Unforgettable Moments.

  • Minneapolis-based Target Corp. said it will debut an exclusive line of skate-inspired shoes for boys and young men designed by two-time Olympic gold medalist Shaun White and his brother Jesse. Available early next fall, the collection will sell alongside the pro's clothing line and video game, Shaun White Snowboarding, both also available exclusively at Target.

  • To celebrate Earth Day, Tesco-owned Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market, El Segundo, Calif., said it will once again plant a tree in areas devastated by wildfires every time a customer purchases a bottle of its award-winning ONEHOPE Sauvignon Blanc. Last year, the promotion resulted in the planting of more than 3,200 trees by American Forests, a non-profit organization dedicated to environmental restoration.

  • Naperville, Ill.-based OfficeMax said it recently rolled out the first product offered under its new high-tech private label, Engage. The collection features innovative and affordable technology products and accessories, including the first-to-market optical mouse, introduced last week.

  • Walmart, Bentonville, Ark., said it introduced a line of on-trend accent pieces for the home under the Hometrends label. Designed for do-it-yourselfers on a budget, the contemporary collection includes a wide array of affordable products, including bedding, rugs, dinnerware, furniture, decorative accessories and more.

  • Austin, Texas-based Whole Foods Markets said it recently opened the first supermarket in New York to receive Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification. Located on Manhattan's Upper West Side, the store features a living roof, a photovoltaic installation and several features designed to cut water usage by more than 45 percent.
