Beef, Pork Groups Offer Label Suggestions

Changes to the voluntary Uniform Retail Meat Identification Standards for labeling of fresh beef and pork were approved by industry groups and are available for retailers to implement.

The latest voluntary changes were requested by the National Pork Board and Beef Checkoff Program and were approved by the Industry-Wide Cooperative Meat Identification Standards Committee.
