Survey Touts Aldi Fan Loyalty

A new survey from LoudDoor ranked Aldi among the top 20 companies with the most loyal Facebook friends, the retailer said in a news release Wednesday.

The survey tracks every major brand on Facebook and how likely the brand’s fans were to recommend them. Aldi, which ranked seventh on the PLB Top 35 last year, was the only grocer retailer on the LoudDoor list.

Aldi’s Facebook page has more than 363,000 fans since its launch in July 2012.

“We're honored that the trust our customers have in ALDI to deliver the highest quality products at the lowest possible prices has created such tremendous loyalty,” said Jason Hart, president, ALDI USA, in the release. “Smart shoppers know they can save time and money at ALDI without sacrificing quality. It's their word-of-mouth support that has fueled our significant growth in recent years.”

Aldi has opened 50 to 80 stores a year over the past several years, the company said in the release, and expects to continue at that pace.

“Low prices can get people in the door, but it's our great quality that keeps customers coming back to ALDI,” Hart said.
