  • U.S. MARKET SIZE: $11 billion for milk in 2010; $18 billion for cheese and $6.4 billion for yogurt/yogurt drinks in 2011.
  • GROWTH PROSPECTS: 8.4 % growth projected, 2011 through 2014 for milk. 16.5 % growth projected for cheese and 48.7 % growth expected for yogurt and yogurt drinks, 2011 through 2016.
  • WHERE IT SELLS: Food, drug, & mass merchandise outlets account for 99 % of milk sales. Supermarkets hold the majority share of the U.S. retail sector for cheese.
