3Milk and cookies with Topco
It’s comfort food from Topco this Spring, with the introduction of eight new Food Club Dunksters cookies. The cookies are available in Chewy Chocolate Chip, Lemon Frosted, Molasses, Oatmeal Raisin, Oatmeal, Peanut Butter, Strawberry Filled and Raspberry Filled. And to wash the cookies down, Topco announces Full Circle Refrigerated Soymilk. It is available in three flavors: Plain, Vanilla and Chocolate, and each comes in a sleek 32-ounce plastic bottle and has a shelf life of 150 days. — Topco Associates, Skokie, Ill.
Steakhouse Choice Beef
Albertsons introduces Steakhouse Choice Beef to its supermarkets across the country. The new brand, a high-quality USDA Choice Angus beef, is naturally aged, hand-carved and guaranteed to meet customer expectations on tenderness, juiciness and flavor or the chain will refund the price and replace the cut. — Albertsons, Boise, Idaho
Trader Joe’s baked breads
Trader Joe’s introduces a line of low-carb breads under the Joe’s Lows line. Made with natural ingredients and no preservatives, the breads are pre-sliced. Varieties available include the 18-ounce Cheddar, 24-ounce Cinnamon Walnut, and Garlic loaves. Also available now are Trader Joe’s Mini Bagels, packaged in a 10-ounce plastic bag containing 18 bagels. — Trader Joe’s, Monrovia, Calif.
5Intense-strength cough/cold items
Reese Pharmaceutical Co. carries a line of intense-strength cough/cold items for Chain Drug Marketing Association’s Quality Choice program. Retailers such as Happy Harry’s, Discount Drug Mart, Kinney Drug and Medicap Pharmacies are using the line to offer premium formulations in their lineups. Bozzuto’s expands
Cheshire, Conn.-based Bozzuto’s Inc. announces plans to expand its private label as part of a new marketing initiative. The Lifemark brand has been added for private label health and beauty care products. Fair Trade Coffee
Giant Food, a unit of Dutch retailer Ahold, has entered a partnership with fair trade certifier TransFair USA to offer five varieties of Fair Trade Certified coffee in its Giant and Super G stores. The coffee is available in five blends — Breakfast Blend, French Roast, Colombian, Sumatran and Sumatran Decaf — and is marketed under the brand name Café JaVaNa. — Giant Food, Carlisle, Pa.

Nacho Cheese Chips for Dogs
Dogmatic Products launches NaChews, a nacho cheese chip for dogs with the same taste as “human-style” nacho tortilla chips but healthier thanks to all-natural ingredients, including packed pork. Low-carb truffles
Seattle Chocolates introduces Skinny Truffles, a new line of low-carbohydrate truffles with a European chocolate taste profile. Each truffle contains only 0.3 to 0.5 grams of net effective carbohydrates, depending on the flavor. The truffles are available in three flavors – Milk Chocolate with Almond, Dark Chocolate with Espresso and Milk Chocolate with Mint. The truffles are individually wrapped and packaged in a 3.5-ounce, re-sealable bag. Latex-free Gloves 4
With current latex allergy concerns continuing to grow, Clean Ones Corp. launches new products that recognize this challenge. Low-carb Pasta
The Dakota Growers Pasta Co. follows the low-carb phenomena with the introduction of a low-carb product called Dreamfields. The product is made mostly from semolina, a granual flour that is used to make traditional pasta, but now has a fiber blend added to block digestion of most carbohydrates. The line includes spaghetti, elbows, penne rigate and linguine. Ice cream pie
Safeway Inc., distributor of The Bakery Counter line of frozen ice cream pies, launches Dulce De Leche Caramel Ice Cream Pie. The pie is sold in a 12-ounce windowed box so consumers can easily see the decorated product. The pie has whipped topping and real cream rosettes and is drizzled with caramel. The Bakery Counter line of frozen ice cream pies also includes Chocolate Chip Mint.

Organic Milling Co. introduces Nutritious Living Hi-Lo Cookies. The Chocolate Chip and Fudge Chocolate Chip varieties have 0 grams of sugar and 0 grams of trans-fat. Net carbohydrates equal 2 grams and 3 grams per serving, respectively.
