Sam Mayberry, vice president, private brands, at Supervalu will be a featured keynote speaker at PLBuyer’s June 5-7 private label conference, Private Label: the Next Generation in Chicago.

Also on the program will be private label retailers Mary Rachide, division vice president, private brands, Family Dollar; and Jenny Longo, director, private brands, and Robert Koss, vice president, marketing, at Canada’s Longo’s.

Other retailers scheduled to speak are Joe Ennen, senior vice president of consumer brands, with Safeway, Mike DeJulio, director of corporate brands & specialty foods at Price Chopper, and Regina Tator, director of private brands, at Weis Markets.

“Our goal for PLBuyer’s June conference is to bring together an unprecedented number of private label retailers to discuss the next generation of private label, giving attendees an in-depth look at what to expect in the future that can help them in their businesses as well,” says Brion Palmer, group publisher for PLBuyer. “We’ll have announcements of more retailer-speakers shortly. The best way to keep up on conference plans is on our conference Web site, where you also can sign up to attend and get the early bird discount if you act now,” Palmer adds.

In addition to retailers, the conference also will feature a wide range of insights from noted industry researchers such as Todd Hale of Nielsen, Dan Kitrell of Kantar Media and Chandi Gmuer of Consumer Science, a PLBuyer research partner.

“The conference will offer a 360 degree view of private label like no other,” Palmer says. And all the while attendees will be eating, and rating the quality of, private label foods at every conference meal and event.
