These days, there are more news-delivery vehicles than ever. We’re all swamped with electronic newsletters invading our inboxes at a rapid pace. And, for the most part, all of them are doing the same thing — that is, they are simply aggregating news from other sources. It’s not uncommon to read the same story in six different places.
It’s within this environment that PL Buyer launched our eReport this past November. Prior to the launch of the eReport, we at PL Buyer agreed that this concept had to be different than anything else being delivered via email and online. After much debate and discussion, we made the decision that PL Buyer’s eReport should provide news about private label activities taking place at the industry’s leading retail chains, and more importantly, it should provide a unique perspective. We tell you what’s happening in the world of private label and what it means to you. That is a very different position, and that is what will continue to put the PL Buyer eReport a step ahead of the other electronic newsletters.
Our first two editions generated very positive responses, and we welcome feedback of any kind. Our perspective will continue to be the differentiating point between PL Buyer’s eReport and all other electronic news sources serving the retail market.
