This week 54% of the retailers saw a decrease in their Private Label promotions when compared to the same week last year. Of those that decreased, two did so by more than 50%.
Rite-Aid (-53.9%) and Albertsons (-52.2%) had the largest decreases among the retailer group compared to 2012. Conversely, Walmart (+147.7%) and CVS (+31.2%) saw the largest percentage increases year over year.
The retailers in the group that remained relatively flat year over year were Publix (+3.2%) and A&P (-6.0%).
