Whole Foods Promotes Private Label Pet Food

Last month we reported about Whole Foods Market’s new private label Whole Paws pet food and this month PLBuyer spotted the brand being promoted in stores.

This week the retailer was giving away 2.5-oz. samples of dry Whole Paws cat and dog food. The retailer was also giving away recyclable, BPA-free wet food can covers touting the new brand.

Sample package labels read “Exclusively at Whole Foods Market” to make sure shoppers know the product is a store brand.

The first ingredients in Whole Paws pet food is chicken, salmon, and other proteins. The pet food is made without artificial flavors, animal by-products, added sugar or grains. These aspects are boasted across the lower front package.

The premium Whole Paws brand replaces the former 365 Everyday Value pet food products.
