A new nonprofit group, Marketing Opportunities Roundtable Events (MORE) for Private Brand, hopes to help promote cross-channel marketing opportunities in today’s private label industry.
The group intends to have semiannual meetings at various locations and will host a kickoff roundtable discussion at the NACDS Total Store Expo, Aug. 11-12 (10:30-11:30 a.m. each day) at their first Private Label Seminar (co-hosted by PL Developments).
The group is designed specifically for developing new and consistent promotional programs such as cross-promotion, charity donation, and multi-category events in the private label industry. Membership to the group is open to private label retailers, brokers, consultants, and suppliers.
“This is a very exciting time for the store brands industry as there are tremendous opportunities for growth and change,” stated MORE founding member Joni Foley in a press release.
Foley is the senior director of Sales and Marketing for PL Developments. Headquartered in Westbury, N.Y., PL Developments is a leading supplier of over-the-counter, FDA-approved products in the analgesic, digestive, sleep/motion, cold/cough, and allergy categories.
MORE for Private Brand has strong support from retailers, wholesalers, and suppliers thus far.
“The development of this organization will enable private brand suppliers and retailers to meet and work together on a host of promotional activities, enticing the ultimate consumer with new and exciting programs,” Foley said. “Our primary purpose is to establish MORE for Private Brand as an essential leader in innovation and an expert resource for private brand Promotion.”
