Last week, Delhaize America announced restructuring changes to top executives that brought a new president to its Food Lion banner.
Beth Newlands Campbell, who had been the president of Hannaford Supermarkets, has taken over as president of Food Lion and Harveys. New Delhaize America CEO Roland Smith said the move and others in the restructuring, “was conducted to provide greater clarity of responsibility and accountability, and improve results across the organization.”
Brad Wise, the former senior vice president of human resources at Delhaize America, will take over the president role at Hannaford and Sweetbay Supermarkets. Other moves within the Delhaize America division include the promotion of Greg Amoroso to chief financial officer and David Criscione to chief strategy and development officer. Former Sweetbay President Mike Vail leaves to become chief supply chain officer at Delhaize America.
Delhaize America Chief Information Office Deborah Dixson and Senior Vice President of Legal and Government Affairs Linn Evans will retain their roles in the restructuring, as will Bottom Dollar Food President Meg Ham.
“The results of the structural changes involve significant movement for individuals who have held top leadership positions within Delhaize America and its companies for some time,” Smith said in details provided by Food Lion. “As with everything we do, the decisions we announced to our associates today were made in the best interests of our customers, associates and shareholders.”
