Convenience Store Wawa Launches Single Cup Coffee

Wawa Inc. is bringing private label single-serve coffee to its 604 convenience stores in the East.

The retailer announced Monday that it launched Wawa Original Blend and 100% Colombian flavors of the coffee that are compatible with Keurig brewing systems. The coffees are available today in all Wawa stores in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and Florida. It said new flavors would be added to the line in early 2013.

"We are pleased to launch these convenient new single-serve coffee containers so our customers can enjoy Wawa's signature flavors in the comfort of their homes," Category Manager Mendy Meriwether said in a news release. "A tremendous amount of development has gone into ensuring the cup that customers brew at home is as perfect as the cup our customers buy at any Wawa location. We have seen an incredible amount of excitement from our customers so far and we look forward to expanding our varieties to generate even more ways to simplify our customers' lives."
