Nutri-Force Nutrition, a private label manufacturer of nutraceuticals, vitamins and supplements, earned the South Florida Business Journal Entrepreneur Award recently, the company announced.

The award, in the $25 million-$49 million category, recognized Nutri-Force for its innovation, leadership, and explosive growth in the industry, the company said in a news release.

“It is an honor to receive this prestigious award and be recognized among so many other entrepreneurial success stories in south Florida,” Nutri-Force President and CEO Anthony Alfonso said in the release. “This award is a testament to our outstanding employees and their commitment to the company.”

The company operates a 250,000-square-foot plant in Miami Lakes, Fla., that employs about 450 workers. In July the company opened a $13 million softgel vitamin plant with the potential to create 400 jobs in the next three years. Nutri-Force projects annual revenue of $80 million this year.
