As Target announced recently that it posted its 11thconsecutive quarter of positive same-store sales, it prepared analysts for the launch of its latest private brand, Threshold.
Target Executive Vice President of Merchandising Kathryn Tesija said on a conference call with analysts that the retailer would begin to roll out its latest Home brand in the third quarter.
“We’ll begin to roll out our new brand, Threshold, with a small assortment of entertaining essentials, accents and decorative accessories,” Tesija said on the call, according to transcripts from Seeking Alpha. “Our goal was to create a new brand with a clear point of view which meets our guests’ expectations for style, quality and value. We expect to complete the rollout of this brand across all of our Home categories by summer 2013.”
Steinhafel also took time to discuss the company’s Shops at Target program, which will highlight private brand collections from Target.
“Earlier next month, we’ll roll out our next installment of The Shops At Target,” she said. “This installment is focused on Home and Apparel. And we’re partnered with four distinctive boutiques to co-create exclusive collections our guests will love. Prices across the four collections will range from $3 to $120.
“In Home In October, we’re very excited to launch the Nate Berkus collection, an exclusive assortment from this influential and well-respected interior designer. This collection will feature 150 home products that are stylish, inspirational, and affordable, with prices ranging from $6 to $150.”
