Trader Joe’s Dishes Up Quinoa Recipe Contest

Monrovia, Calif.-based Trader Joe’s recently announced the launch of its “Quintessential Quinoa Recipe Contest.”

The recipe contest involves contests creating a quinoa with up to seven Trader Joe’s products, (binders, such as salt, pepper, butter, cooking oil, etc. don’t count), and that takes 20 minutes or less to prepare (not counting baking time). Either Trader Joe’s Organic Quinoa or its Organic Tricolor Quinoa must be used as one of the seven ingredients. Alcohol is not allowed as an ingredient.

Every Quintessential Quinoa Recipe will be evaluated first by the Trader Joe’s Recipe Review Panel. All entries will be judged on how highly innovative the ingredient pairing is; how easy it is to make; and naturally, how tasty it is.

 To enter, send an email to QQrecipe@traderjoes.com by Friday May, 4, 2012, listing the ingredients and explaining the cooking steps as concisely as possible. Entrants must include their name and preferred method of contact in case their recipe is selected.
