Raining Rose Inc., a Cedar Rapids, Iowa-based supplier of private label lip balm and sunscreen products, said it has made “significant progress” in returning to normal operations following extreme flooding at its facility and a mandatory evacuation of the area.

The company said it obtained temporary facilities, and its sales, customer support and administrative groups are fully functional. In addition, Raining Rose anticipates shipping orders for lip balm within the next few weeks, thanks to generous offers from several key vendors.

“This is a challenging time for Cedar Rapids, but this great community continues to shine,” said Chuck Hammond, Raining Rose president and CEO. “This will be a new beginning for our company, and we will capitalize on the opportunity for a fresh start.”
