Duluth, Ga.-based Associated Hygienic Products (AHP) recently received four awards from several major corporations for best-in-class partnerships in the disposable diaper category, AHP.
The 2009 awards are:
- Outstanding Supplier, The Kroger Co.
- Partner Award of Excellence, Target Corp.
- Supplier of the Year for Department 26 (baby products department), Wal-Mart Stores Inc.
- Product of the Year, Fisher-Price
Although AHP already had won four best-in-class awards from Kroger during the past six years, it was surprised to be recognized and awarded by three more significant companies, said Chris Ferdock, vice president of marketing at AHP.
“Kroger has kind of been one of those that has been a mainstay,” Ferdock said. “But we have never received [an award] from Walmart USA or Target or Fisher-Price.”
The Fisher-Price award especially was a notable achievement, because of the depth of competition from other new products, he noted. AHP won the Product of the Year award for manufacturing a baby diaper that retails under the Fisher-Price brand.
“Quite frankly, we’re honored, appreciative and yet motivated by the recognition to do even better things,” he said. “I think it’s as simple as that.”
